In the South African language Sotho, the term Mogo means “together, union” and perfectly sums up the concept of aggregation behind Mogo, a HI-FI restaurant run by Yoji Tokuyoshi, Bottura's sous-chef in Modena. A multifaceted space designed to welcome different types of guests at any time of the day.
Starting from the term “together, union,” the Multimasks project consists of a series of tapestries that permanently adorn Mogo. The body of work depicts six faces, each of which refers to a specific iconographic figure in order to praise the multiculturalism that coexists in the space. On the walls, various figures can be seen, from the face of Kitsune to demonic characters, all linked by the same red thread, Corvino's simple and effective pictorial language.
